Ilkley Open Studio 4th & 5th Oct 2025

Step Into My Studio: Join Me at Ilkley Open Studios, 4–5 October 2025

Hello art lovers — I’m delighted to share that I will be opening my studio as part of Ilkley Arts Open Studios on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 October 2025, from 10:00 to 16:00 both days.

This is a rare opportunity to step behind the scenes — to see where and how I work, meet me in person, and view a curated selection of my paintings and art pieces. Whether you’re a collector, a fellow artist, or simply curious, I’d love to welcome you into my creative world.

Why It Matters

Open Studios events like this are about more than selling art. They’re about connection:

  • You’ll get to see work in progress, and I’ll often be happy to talk through my process, tools, materials, and what inspires me.
  • You’ll be able to place pieces in context — not just in a gallery frame, but in the space where they were made.
  • Conversations matter — your questions, observations, and responses often spark new ideas.
  • You might find something unexpected, something you didn’t know you needed, but now want to bring home.

Ilkley Open Studios invites over 20 local artists to open their doors for just these two days, spanning disciplines such as painting, printmaking, sculpture, textiles, jewellery, and mixed media.  The event is anchored by an event hub at the Ilkley Arts Studio (in the Manor House courtyard), where you can pick up maps, check artist listings, and plan your trail.

What You’ll See From Me

Over the coming weeks, I’ll be preparing a body of work specially for the event. Expect:

  • Landscapes & Still Lives: New interpretations of place and object that reflect my evolving voice (many inspired by Yorkshire, nature, home).
  • Materials & process: I’ll lay out some of my reference materials, sketches, and experiments so you can see how ideas morph.
  • Select pieces for sale / commissions: You’ll have first pick of limited works, and the option to discuss custom pieces.
  • A relaxed, welcoming space: Expect tea, conversation, and a chance just to pause and absorb art in a more personal context.
